El resultado es que ellos no pueden garantizar servicios de visualizaci\u00f3n de videos libre de interrupciones. De esta manera, se ha propuesto previamente un esquema de tolerancia a fallos f\u00e1cilmente adaptable a los sistemas P2P-VoD ya desarrollados. En la presente tesis se propone un nuevo mecanismo de selecci\u00f3n de los mejores peers servidores para un peer cliente dado, dise\u00f1ado bajo los requerimientos del esquema previamente propuesto. La selecci\u00f3n adecuada de nodos servidores tiene la finalidad de que un mismo problema de comunicaci\u00f3n (congesti\u00f3n o fallo) de la red afecte a la menor cantidad posible de conexiones, minimizando el impacto en el servicio de VoD. El mecanismo de selecci\u00f3n de peers servidores tiene en cuenta la diversificaci\u00f3n de caminos y el ancho de banda de los mismos.
