Est\u00e1 basada en la Criptograf\u00eda Asim\u00e9trica o de Clave P\u00fablica, y es el mecanismo por el cual cualquier persona que posea un documento digital firmado puede determinar con certeza su autenticidad y saber si el mismo fue modificado desde el momento de su firma, evitando as\u00ed su posible repudio.<br \/>En este contexto aparece la necesidad de alg\u00fan mecanismo de distribuci\u00f3n de claves en la comunidad de usuarios.
